This is an exquisite dark brown velvet skirt suit which dates from the early 1980s the jacket is short and fitted with a round neck the edges are bound with black braid and the turned back cuff slits have this finish the jacket fastens with five gold coloured buttons and there are three matching buttons at each cuff the skirt has a 1 waist band and is cut in four panels which flare towards the hem and are gathered at the waistband creating a little fullness it has a side zip fastening
