From the outstanding 1989 vintage and scoring 90100 parker points the 1989 latour resembles the 82 although it is not as concentrated full bodied powerful or unctuous deep rubypurple with a penetrating bouquet of cassis this large scaled yet surprisingly approachable wine is bursting with fruit and extract the finish is admirably long and persistent the wine has a high tannin count but the tannins are largely obscured by the wines rich fruit and depth drink now 2020 a ravi
